FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION MEDICAL COURSES


FA EMERGENCY AID COURSE.

A 3 hour course designed to deal with life threatening injury. Deaths and serious injury occur, although rare, in most sports. Every club should have someone with life saving skills present at every match and training session. Courses can be arranged at your own club, or at the Harriers valid for 3 years. Certificates of attendance awarded. For Whom: anyone involved with Junior,Youth and Adult Teams.

 

 

1st Sports Level 2 Certificate in Treatment & Management Of Injuries:

Designed to improve medical care for players at all levels. A 36 hour course teaching how to deal, treat and manage common sports injuries, such as pulled muscles & twisted ankles. A comprehensive study book is provided. Certificates of competence award. For Whom: Those with a commitment to the medical care of players. Applicants 16 years or above. Courses are organised on demand.

 

 

Certificate in First Aid For Sport:

An intensive short course aiming to provide candidates with knowlege of how to recognise & respond to a range of injuries commonly sustained & illness that can occur in a sporting environment. Course Content: Pre game preparation as a first aider, understanding common injuries, reaction to injuries & prevention, injury assesment & first aid skills, recognition of common illness/conditions, the medical bag, contents and use of.

For whom: Anyone involved with junior youth & adult sport.
