KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS FOOTBALL IN THE COMMUNITY SCHEME

We are proud to operate a Girls Centre of Excellence for the most talented girls playing in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

52 Girls Centres operate throughout the country. The aim is to produce players with the ability to play for England. The FA fund facilities and coaches to give talented girls the best possible opportunity to fulfil their potential and give them a platform to be seen by England scouts. Kidderminster Harriers Centre is designated for girls from Worcestershire and Herefordshire. and works with both county FA's to ensure girls get this oppurtunity.

TRAINING

Following a pre season camp in August, training takes place at Malvern College on Mondays, 6.30-7.30pm and Thursdays, 6.30-8.00pm, from September through to April. Players are supplied with training kit and are expected to attend both sessions.

MATCHES

Fixtures are played Saturday mornings against other Midland Centres such as Birmingham City, Aston Villa and Stoke City. No league tables or results are published. England Scouts will attend at least 2 games per season. Selected girls will also be invited to attend the Midland Regional Talent Camp. Fixtures allow the best girls in their region to compete against each other in an environment in which they can experiment and develop.

KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS COMMUNITY SCHEME

Harriers Community Scheme have been involved in Girls Centre football since it began 8 years ago. Despite being a relatively small club and a comparitively small playing population, 7 girls from our Centre have received invitations to take part in international squads. We are the only Midland centre with English A Licence coaches (2) on staff and also include ex-professional players, female UEFA B Licence coaches and former England international Marieanne Spacey.
